When We Are Closed
Outside of normal opening times, Monday to Friday 8am - 6.30pm, the local Primary Care Trust is responsible for providing URGENT GP health services outside of our surgery opening times. To access this service telephone the usual surgery number (023 9273 7373) and listen to the recorded message.
There is a “Walk-In” Treatment Centre available at St Mary’s Hospital which is open 8.00am to 10.00pm, seven says a week and can be accessed for minor ailments/injuries. NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY.
For advice on health matters you can contact NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 or visit www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Whilst other services can treat individual healthcare episodes, only GPs provide lifelong continuity of care and co-ordinate all healthcare matters in a holistic manner.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
